We will meet at Burjassot Metro Station. From there, we'll take a circular walk to explore two gardens. We'll reach the first one, a 400-year-old historic garden, in about a 10-minute walk (a pleasant 600-meter stroll through the historic centre of Burjassot). This garden is only open on certain days of the year, as it belongs to a private foundation. We will walk through it and take in its structure, species, and condition while reviewing a bit of its history and the meaning of its location and existence. Next, we will take a few minutes to do a contemplative activity in the Entrejardines Garden Booklet that we provide.
After this, with our souls filled with the history of this place, we'll set off again on a leisurely stroll towards the next garden. Another 500 metres away and about an 8-minute walk. This secret and curious second garden, so different from the first, was created in the 1980s by two Valencian landscape designers on a site reclaimed from abandoned land. Here we will observe and learn again about structure, species and maintenance, as well as the sensations it produces so that you can compare them with the previous style of the first garden visited.
We will also spend a few minutes contemplating and taking notes, if you wish, in your Gardens notebook. And when our souls are sated again, we'll head to a nearby terrace for some refreshments in the open air, covered by the ticket, where we can share and discuss our experiences in both gardens and what we learned from them.
We believe it's quite an experience.
