Activity itinerary

Phetchaburi (Pass by)

Leave Bangkok behind and travel south towards Phetchaburi, a historic province known for royal architecture, ancient temples, limestone hills and traditional sugar-palm farming. During the journey, your private guide will introduce the province and explain how its royal heritage, religious landmarks and local way of life connect the different stops of the day.

Tham Khao Luang Cave

  • 30m
  • Admission ticket included
Descend into a limestone cave sanctuary filled with Buddha images, natural rock formations and peaceful religious shrines. Sunlight enters through openings high above the cave, creating dramatic beams that illuminate different parts of the chamber throughout the day. Take time to explore the atmospheric interior, appreciate its spiritual importance and photograph one of Phetchaburi’s most distinctive landmarks.

Khao Wang (Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park)

  • 1h 30m
  • Admission ticket included
Ride the cable car to Phra Nakhon Khiri, the hilltop royal complex commonly known as Khao Wang. Explore palace buildings, religious monuments and scenic viewpoints while learning how King Rama IV used the site as a royal residence. From the hill, enjoy wide views across Phetchaburi town and the surrounding countryside. Please keep personal belongings secure, as monkeys are commonly seen around the historical park.

Phra Ram Ratchaniwet

  • 1h
Discover a very different side of Thai royal history at Phra Ram Ratchaniwet, also known as Ban Puen Palace. Designed by a German architect, the palace features elegant European-influenced architecture, graceful stairways and carefully arranged interior spaces. Your guide will explain why this unusual royal residence was built and how its design differs from traditional Thai palaces. Please note: Phra Ram Ratchaniwet is normally closed to visitors on Mondays. For Monday departures, this stop will be replaced with another notable historical attraction in Phetchaburi, with no additional charge.

Wat Mahathat Worawihan

  • 45m
Visit one of Phetchaburi’s most important active temples, recognised by its tall white prang rising above the old town. Walk through the temple grounds, admire the blend of artistic influences and observe a living place of Buddhist worship. Your guide will help you understand the temple’s architecture, religious role and connection to Phetchaburi’s long history.

Uncle Tanom Palm orchard

  • 30m
End the sightseeing journey with a relaxed visit to a traditional sugar-palm orchard in the countryside of Ban Lat. Walk beneath rows of tall palm trees and learn how local communities collect palm sap and transform it into drinks, sweets and palm sugar. Depending on the season and daily activities, you may also see part of the production process and browse locally made products. This peaceful final stop introduces a part of Phetchaburi life that travellers rarely experience on standard sightseeing tours.
