It’s a place where everything opens up, wide, quiet, almost unreal. Step by step, the world behind you fades, until only the sea remains, clear, bright, and endlessly alive. For most of the way out, you follow the sea directly along the coastline. The water remains beside us, clear, turquoise and intensely bright. Along the route, you pass two remote stone beaches, quiet and untouched, where hardly anyone else wanders. All along the way, wild goats and sheep roam freely across the landscape often with their young, adding a quiet, authentic sense of life to this untouched scenery. These peaceful spots offer the perfect place for a small picnic and, for those who wish, a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear water. Gradually, the path rises gently towards a small village. From here, a beautiful view opens across the sea, wide and calm. And then comes the final highlight: mountains to the left, endless coastline to the right with views stretching far into the distance towards Balos and the Gramvousa peninsula.
