What you can expect

We will pick you up from your hotel in Khiva or Airport/ Train station. Drive about 1 hr 30 minutes to the first destination, Ayaz-kala.
Ayaz Kala is actually a group of three ancient desert fortresses (Ayaz Kala 1, 2, and 3), believed to have been built between the 4th century BCE and the 7th century CE. These fortresses were part of the ancient civilisation of Khorezm, which played a key role along early Silk Road routes.
Toprak Kala, meaning “Earthen Fortress,” was a large, fortified city built around the 1st–2nd century CE. Unlike Ayaz Kala (which was mainly defensive), Toprak Kala served as a royal residence and administrative centre of the Khorezmian rulers.
Kyzyl Kala means “Red Fortress”, named after the reddish colour of its mud-brick walls. It dates to the 1st–4th century CE and served as a fortified residence or defensive structure connected to nearby Toprak Kala.

You can also ride camels in Ayaz Kala and have loocal lunch in Akchakul Lake.
