Overview

  • Begin your adventure with a visit to the Mira de Aire Caves, one of Portugal’s Seven Natural Wonders. Descend 100 metres (330 ft) underground along a safe path of over 680 steps, where you’ll marvel at rare and impressive rock formations illuminated by LED lighting and hear the gentle flow of water. At the end, a lift will bring you back to the surface.

    Next, stop at the medieval village of Óbidos, where your guide will accompany you inside for a brief introduction to the village and its must-see highlights. Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore at your own pace and have lunch before continuing the tour.

    Finally, end the day at the magical Buddha Eden, which features beautiful gardens and one of the largest Buddha statues in Europe. Even on private tours, the visit inside the caves is conducted by their own staff in group format, in order to ensure all safety protocols are followed.
