DAY 1: Pick up at your hotel/hostel for 8:00 to 8:40 am to begin the 4hr journey to Nong Khiaw, once you arrive you will have time for lunch before start, trek through the beautiful jungle! You will then arrive at the 360 degree viewpoint, to be be amazed by the views over the mountains above the clouds! We will then enjoy the incredible sunset accompanied by a dinner above the clouds, before sleeping in your tent for the night!
DAY 2: We will be waking up at around 6am to capture the breathtaking sunrise scenery above the sea of clouds! Before our 1 hr hike down to the tour office we will enjoy breakfast and coffee for breakfast to start off our day. After freshening up and changing clothes we will start our 50 minute journey up the river to begin our trek through rice paddies, jungle valleys and mountain slopes. We will then arrive at a refreshing waterfall to take a swim, and enjoy provided lunch, after lunch we will return to the river bank to take a 30 minute boat to Muang Ngoi, here we will have time to explore caves, viewpoints and meet local people! Following this we will take a short boat ride down the nam ou river taking in the incredible scenery and limestone Mountain View's. We will then arrive at the weaving village of Ban Sopjam, In the late afternoon you can learn how to make bamboo handicrafts with the older men who have great experience in the village, you can also join the MaMa cooking classes, we will then indulge In the local food and Of course the local lao lao whisky!!
DAY 3: After breakfast and coffee we will begin the big jungle trek for 3-4 hours through the bamboo tree jungle, whilst admiring the breathtaking mountain scenery. You will be able to hear the sounds of wild animals or if you are lucky you can see the wild animals for yourself!! Next you will be arriving on the Nam ou river and your guide will find a nice spot to enjoy your final local lunch, after lunch we will find a relaxing place to swim then take a slow boat down the river for 1 hour and 30 minutes after changing in to the kayaks for 1 more hour downstream enjoying kayaking along th scenic Nam ou river back to Nongkhiaw for 4pm, van pick up drive to Luang prabang you will arriving luangprabang about 20:00pm.
