Private tour of Oviedo with tickets to Pre-Romanesque Churches
Features
Overview
A few minutes from the centre of Oviedo, this private tour allows you to discover, with an expert guide, two of the most unique examples of pre-Romanesque Asturian art, recognised by UNESCO. The tour begins in Santa Maria del Naranco, a building surrounded by mystery whose original use is not entirely clear, although it is interpreted as a space linked to the royal court. Its apparently sober architecture hides a decorative richness that reflects diverse influences and demonstrates the complexity of this unique style. The visit then continues in San Miguel de Lillo, conceived as a church and partially preserved after the damage suffered in the Middle Ages. In it you can still see remains of painting and sculptural elements of great value. The experience is completed by a visit to the Interpretation Centre, where models and explanations allow us to better understand the uniqueness and context of this exceptional heritage ensemble.
