The Eddy is a really cute boutique hotel in Golden. It felt tucked away in a private corner, but was also really close to Downtown Golden and other places of interest. The design of the hotel was particularly thoughtful- the rooms were somewhat small, not tiny by any means, but everything was set up to keep your room organized and it had everything you need. The sconces outside of each room were a nice touch. I really liked the coffee, tea, and water station at the end of the hall. It provided all sorts of fancy coffee drinks and hot chocolate from an automatic machine and even extra syrups to add to your drink. Also the fragrance of their in room soaps and lotions was really nice. The only thing with the room - the in unit HVAC system circa 1980 felt a little chintzy and there was definitely some noise coming from the floors above in evening - thumping and bumping from people moving around.
Check in was a little confusing because the front desk looks like a restaurant host station, and is in fact, in the restaurant. It wasn’t clearly marked as hotel check in. So that was a bit confusing but the check in person was really nice and they offer you a little glass of pale ale as a welcome. Also, parking is really simple. Plenty of spaces available right outside the front door.
The food and drinks at the restaurant were very good but some of the wait staff seemed a bit bothered they actually had to serve people food and drinks. Overall a great stay and I would recommend.
