Valet and front desk staff were awesome. Rooms were less than average, a little dusty, with newer water stains on ceilings and some rust in the bathtub drain. Amenities in the room were limited with no body wash and very tiny bottles of shampoo and conditioner. We only stayed one night so it was fine fore that.

Some of the front desk staff were surly. The only functioning ice machine was on the 9th floor. Bathroom was way too small and no heater in there so it was cold. Doormen were very nice and the location is good.

I have stayed here many times. This particular night was superbowl Sunday and the Eagles were playing. It had to be one of the craziest nights of the year for staff. I had called to request an early check in and was accommodated. But at check in, there was a problem with my room. Tamara went above and beyond to help me at the front desk, and to get me into a room at the earliest possible opportunity. I greatly appreciated the excellent service!

I was charged twice for the room and it took two weeks to get my money back. In addition to the inconvenience, the water in the room was ice cold, the bathroom had rust and water stains, and none of the toiletries were properly re-stocked before we checked in.

Amazing location, beautiful lobby, drab rooms that need to be updated. The photos of the room give the impression that they are modern and the rooms are not. The decor, lighting and bathroom quality is subpar for such a beautiful location with an amazing lobby. Everything was clean but the property could look much better

Not as nice as it seems

The lobby of the hotel and the hallways are modern and updated but the rest of the facilities are in poor shape. Our room had worn furniture, old carpeting, a cracked tub, and dirty window shades.

Love it but my room needed refreshing

I have stayed at this hotel prior (in 2019, twice). I selected the hotel for this trip because I love the location, style, ease of parking and connected restaurants. It might have just been the room I had this time but it was worn and in need of some refreshing. Table tops (wood) were worn and the chair (leather?) was also worn. The bathroom door was bowed and did not shut tight. The people who work there are lovely and the place is unique, but rooms need to be attended to if they all look like the one I stayed in this time.

There was NO Hot water on my floor (11th). I could not take a shower during my 2 night stay. I paid for an ex large double bed room which looked impressive on your website. However, in person it was a regular size room. False advertisement. The Rittenhouse Grille food was disgusting. It looked pretty, but was tasteless. There is no way any of the food is prepared on site. More likely, it was frozen, defrosted and reheated. Shrimp was rubbery, Clams Casino was beyond awful and potato au gratin tasted like it was watered down cheese and cold potatoes. Lobster soup was also cold and tasteless. Server did his job. I was stunned to be presented a bill with gratuity included for a party of two. That is outrageous. I guess the house has to do that to ensure servers get any tip at all; not because the service is bad, but because the food is really really bad.
