The Neighborhood:
Cannonborough Elliotborough draws young professionals and students from nearby colleges to its restored, wood-fronted houses. King, Cannon, and Spring streets, running through the leafy area, are dotted with indie boutiques, vintage stores, and bakeries. Trendy eateries serve up everything from comforting Southern fare to Mediterranean cuisine, and Upper King Street has hip bars for craft beer and house cocktails.

Getting Around:
The Charleston Historic District is very walkable, and this property is only a block and a half from King Street. There are also pedicabs and rickshaws that make local travel very easy. CARTA also offers a free bus (DASH) that runs along a King ST, Meeting St and Market St circuit. There is a pickup location also a block and a half away at Cannon and King Street intersection.

St Patrick's Day in Charleston!

Our 3 night stay included St. Patrick's Day, and it was only about a 10 minute walk to see the parade on King St. We only needed our car 1 day which was a trip to Patriot's Point to tour the USS Yorktown and have dinner in the Shem Creek area. There is a free shuttle that is only a short walk away and as for the property itself it was wonderful. Spacious, clean and fully updated we really enjoyed our stay. As others have mentioned, parking can be a bit tricky but we were able to coordinate with 2 different groups staying in the lower unit to make it a great experience.

Fun weekend

The property was beautiful and we had a great weather-perfect weekend. Parking is challenging, as the driveway allows for 3 vehicles, but you may get blocked in with cars from the apartment below. Parking on the street is an option; however, there may not be spots available. The bedrooms are super comfortable, but the left bedroom has no door on the bathroom, which could be uncomfortable if you are using the condo with someone other than your significant other! Otherwise, it was lovely and we will stay there again!

Great location. Comfortable beds, clean and large bathrooms, really nice kitchen. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs watching the world go by. We would recommend this to anyone visiting Charleston.

Great location in a vibrant neighborhood.

The Magnolia is quite new and much of the interior looks like it’s never been used. Very clean and tidy with comfortable beds and good showers. The location is great! Close walking distance to great neighborhood restaurants like Chubby Fish and several places to get coffee in the morning (no Kcups were provided). It can get noisy but we were okay with that. On our arrival we found out that the parking spaces are shared with the downstairs unit. The narrow driveway doesn’t have a front exit so if you pull in and your neighbor parks behind your car, you can’t leave. When we discussed this situation with the property manager he told us to “work it out” with the occupants downstairs. For us, the downstairs ended up not occupied until our departure date so not a problem. But just beware of the parking arrangement. The lighting in the living area is provided only by bright overhead ceiling cans that have no dimmers. It’s kinda harsh at night. Lastly, the very nice refrigerator and ice maker were not working properly when we arrrived. Fridge was 52 degrees and no ice. Freezer was fine. The property manager apparently knew of this and told us after arrival that the part had been on order for months. It would have been nice to have ice trays provided or bag of ice in the freezer. Fortunately the small middle drawer was configurable to function as a fridge so we managed this way after buying a bag of ice. Despite these issues, we still had a great stay at Magnolia.

Birthday Getaway

Excellent location - very close to King Street. Could walk to several breakfast/coffee locations with no problem. Parking is tight (as is all of Charleston) but we had full size vehicles and were able to park without issue. Only had one instance where we needed to contact the management company (Re:doors) but they answered on a Sunday and resolved the issue quickly. We will definitely be keeping this location in mind for future stays!

Perfect for 2 couples.

Met some friends in Charleston for a long weekend. Place was very cute and clean. Location was just off King Street. Quick walk or Uber to wherever we wanted to go. Had an issue with parking, and the manager handled quickly and very professionally. Great experience.

Fantastic VRBO!!!

This property was fantastic. Everything was updated and clean. The host was VERY responsive and was always quick to reply to questions I had. The location is great and walkable to everything. I would highly recommend and stay there again. It was my husband and I an another couple who stayed.

Could not be HAPPIER!!!

The minute we walked in The Magnolia, our vacation in Charleston began!!! We shared the 2 bedroom, 2 and 1/2 bath with long time friends. The home is very spacious, which gave us plenty of room to hang out, laugh and reminisce over many memories we have shared through the years, as we were making more!! The location is fabulous, away from the business but yet close to anything we wanted. (ie..great food!) saving the best for last....could not have been HAPPIER with the staff of King&Society!!!

Best location, beautiful condo!

I highly recommend this beautiful, newly remodeled condo in the wonderful Cannonborough neighborhood of Charleston. My family & I loved it! It is walking distance to coffee shops, boutiques and restaurants. The condo was very clean and spacious. It is managed by King & Society Real Estate Co. They were great to work with...quick response time to questions and etc. We will definitely come back again!
