Great peaceful place to stay in a mountain top, short walk to downtown (it’s on an uphill but they have shuttle you could just call at anytime). Overall it was an excellent family stay.

This is very nice hotel. The only downside is it’s far from the downtown. It does provide a shuttle but it can take some time to get a ride especially if it’s busy. Other than that it was great.

A cool place up in the canyon not too far from the water. It's a little walk to go up and down, but not bad. There is free service to and from the downtown, as well as to the pier, but was not aware until we got there. The service to and from downtown is not consistent, and although the front desk gives you a # to call the driver when needed, he/they never answered the phone. They just showed up whenever. The wait could be long than 15 min, so be prepared or walk. Always good to catch the last ride up. When it was mentioned to who.e er was at the front desk about the driver and not being able to get ahold of him they just shrugged and gave a standard answer of he will be here. As far as the hotel itself. Be aware that "heated" pool means 75 degrees. Which is not very heated, even in the middle of the day. Wish there were a couple of hot tubs. The rooms were nice. As stated, the hotel itself is nice, peaceful and pretty. Just wish there was better communication. I would recommend it knowing what I know.

Perfect location for us. It was just up the hill from all of the restaurants and shopping, which made it quiet and relaxing. The shuttle was always avaliable to drop us off and pick us up. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant had great options for breakfast and was very reasonable. Delicious food and excellent service! I will definitely stay here when i return.

The rooms are on the smaller side and not the cleanest. Location is rough. If you are on a part of the island where the shuttle does not go you have to walk up a giant hill to get to the hotel.

Never written a review before checking out. I’m a Hilton Diamond member and I always hate picking out hotels in places like Avalon, Big Bear, etc. that don’t have chains just mom and pop places because I always feel like I’m guessing at the quality. I’ll make this simple. I’d hoped this place would be Hampton Inn quality. It turns out it’s more like La Quinta. It’s little things. Bathroom and room look relatively moderns and clean, but thing is the AC doesn’t work well. Set it as low as it will go and doesn’t keep the room clean. Bed is also a little low quality as well as towels. Plus, all the front desk staff seem hurried and not hospitable. Shuttle drivers were all very nice. If we stay overnight in Avalon again, I’d have to take a guess at another place.

Although we did not fully utilize the hotel's amenities, we did enjoy our stay. Our room was clean and spacious. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. Shuttle service was useful and appreciated.
