Run of the mill motel

The Downtowner is in a good location to walk to the action on Hollywood Boulevard, it takes about 15 minutes. Marketing photo of the front of the motel looks appealing but in reality it is really lacking in maintenance upkeep, which is clearly evident all around. Noisy location too, the quietest rooms are the ones facing the pool, but traffic noise still intrudes. Breakfast is served in an adjacent fish and chip shop, but don't expect an extensive choice or any great qualty. Without the prime location, I doubt this motel would get much custom. We certainly will not return.
