Got our room early which was great however turned the lights on and received a electric shock flash of light from socket so not a static shock. told receptionist who came to the room to see if they could see how I got a electric shock couldn’t get the light switch to do it again. Offered room change which we accepted

Excellent location in city centre. Easy undercover parking. Fabric generally looking rather tired. Comfortable, nontheless. Ideal as a stopover when travelling to the south coast from the north.

Very efficient and friendly welcome and check in. Good COVID controls. Room was clean and comfortable, furniture a bit dated but fine.

Staff were friendly and helpful but this hotel is long overdue for renewal and upgrade. The location is excellent. Parking is somewhat limited and you could get blocked in.

The room was so small, window didn’t open much, so too hot. The property was tired and in need of renovation. The shower wouldn’t heat. There was no vent in the bathroom that worked. Very disappointing room for the price.

Thank you for your review. Hotel windows can not be opened fully as they have for H&S restriction. with regards to the vent in the bathroom, it has a constant fresh air supply via the air-vent in tot he bedroom but there no fan attached.

Stayed for the weekend to visit the xmas market. Hotel in a great location, right opposite the cathedral, everything was walking distance. The hotel was vey nice, we had a really nice room, 4 poster bed, sitting area with a sofa, very spacious. Bed was super comfy, plenty of pillows as well. Didn't have breakfast or eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food. Would definitely stay again.

Nice friendly staff. Bedroom wardrobe was very narrow so unable to hang clothes properly in it. Bathroom was ok but toilet was difficult to flush and took ages to refill after flushing and very noisy. View from bedroom window was a bit grim as looked straight across a narrow road to a building site so felt a bit like we were being watched at times. Room was small and double bed was pushed up to the wall which made getting in and out difficult. However for the price and location it was ok.
