Room is spotless however our room temperature was a set at 29 degrees…. Much too hot and no clear instructions as to how to change it. Also the extract fan to the bathroom activated randomly at 11:15pm and could not be switched off… we were awake until after 3am … this really ruined our evening. Otherwise I would recommend this hotel

Our second stay, the hotel is so nice. The only slight problem was that the hotel door wouldnt lock from the inside - just a small thing for peace of mind. But staff were incredibly accommodating to allow 2 hour early check-in

The apartment or suite itself was fantastic couldn’t have asked for better - Quality furniture and bedding, very clean very spacious. However, the shower situation let it down and is why I haven’t given it five stars I appreciate it is an old building and that the hot water may take a long time to come through as we were in the furthest room but there was no notice about this.. and therefore we wasted an hour trying to work out what we’ve done wrong and then eventually speaking to someone and and getting it sorted out. This gave us no time to wash our hair, which was very frustrating. I have advised them to make sure there is a note in the suite advising people to run the hot water for 15 minutes if you want to have a shower. And to ask for it to be boosted on a cold day.. we did eventually get hot water, but only 25 minutes before checkout. Had we known about this in advance? We could have dealt with it.

Electronic check-in was straightforward. Room was clean and well presented, but this is not a bouquet hotel in the normal sense. Perfectly adequate if you are staying overnight, but for a short break it lacks any of the usual service. Eg no servicing of rooms, bins not emptied, tea & coffee supplies were very limited, finding breakfast locally was a challenge. Communal areas would have benefited from cleaning, autumn leaves remained on stairways for our duration of our stay. Be aware of the late check-in time and early check-out.

Very good location

We could not park at the property so had to pay extra to park just down the road. Stain on new carpet that looked fresh but no attempt to clean it had been made. Could do with blinds between 2 bedrooms and a few chairs to use the tv in bedroom. Good location with pubs/restaurants/shops on doorstep.
