We had to leave due to the amount of seaweed. For some reason is exactly in that location where gets way more "stock" and stinks horrible!. The all condo stinks so bad we couldn't even sleep. Clothes and everything got stinky too, we had to do laundry on the new place we had to get. We try to negotiate a "refund" and they didn't cooperate.

We had a great room with a beach view and hammock. Coffee maker and small fridge. A/C unit was great. Access to the pool a short walk away. Couldn’t use the beach with the sargassum covering it. Ended up driving south, paid to park, paid for entrance to beach, and paid a small fee to snorkel with sea turtles. But totally worth it! Great area!

Good basic accomodations.

Affordable accomodations directly on the beach. Basic 1 bdrm condo is simple but has everything you need. Coffeemaker and full fridge plus microwave and stove. Gricery is 3 min walk down the road. We had room cleaning every day but one. There was much seaweed but it didnt smell. It does make it hard to enter the ocean.

The beach and bay did have a lot of seaweed, which we were prepared for…not sure if it is a year around occurrence or seasonal. Loved the hammocks on the beach side balcony.

Overall we enjoyed our stay the accommodation was clean and well equipped. Although the seating was too firm for our liking. Housekeeping was daily apart from one day. Reception whilst limited was friendly and helpful and as someone else pointed out you only have to wait a short while if no-one is in the office. I saw a review which mentioned the wind which we noticed too but we managed to balance it out by keeping the balcony door open a bit. The restaurant and pool are not on site but a short walk from the hotel.

Condo was clean and right on the beach - beautiful place. Couch is uncomfortable, but didn't go there to sit on a couch. Ceiling leaked in one of the bathrooms when someone moved in upstairs. No one came to look at it while we were there (noticed it at midnight when we returned and we left the next day). Air conditioning worked well.

Loved it here. Was able to sit on my balcony and enjoy the sea view in the afternoon and evening. A bit too hot for me In The morning but I still enjoyed the view from the cool room indoors. great to have a fridge too.

Akumal Del Sol condo

Location was perfect, staff very nice. The condo itself was very nice however the couch and beds were horrible. So uncomfortable, felt like I was sleeping on a concrete floor. It would be appreciated if they would add a foam pad to the mattress and couch I did not sleep the whole week because I was so uncomfortable.
