Check in wasn’t the smoothest and one of the staff snapped at me when I followed up on a possible room upgrade. I did share feedback with the hotel and they promptly apologised. Appreciate it’s a fairly new hotel but that put me off adding breakfast to my booking for the duration of my stay and spa day as I’d intended. The hotel itself is beautiful and the majority of staff were accommodating. A shame that the first encounter put a damper on things especially with it being a birthday trip and first time in Algarve. On a positive note the hotel shared that feedback has been shared with the team to improve guest services so that’s positive.

I'm a real estate investor and travel with a healthy budget. For our 23rd anniversary, we chose a resort-style hotel in the Algarve—and it ended up being the highlight of our trip. The hotel has a sleek, Bond-movie vibe that photos don’t capture. The lobby is stunning, everything is spotless and well-designed, and the staff were friendly and professional. The pool area is beautiful, with three pools and plenty of comfy loungers. Our room was spacious, fully renovated (since 2023), and incredibly quiet—great for light sleepers like me. Breakfast was outstanding, especially for gluten-free options—lots of variety, including muffins, breads, almond milk, and an amazing banana bread. The location is peaceful yet central. Perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. It’s not an adults-only hotel, but the only kid-related noise came from the pool and added a nice energy. Some reviews criticize it for not being a "true" five-star, but for the value, it’s exceptional. I’d absolutely recommend it.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The facilities were immaculate, the pool area was gorgeous, breakfast was lovely and the photos definitely don’t do the wellness centre enough justice. The gym was amazing as well as the indoor pool area and the spin studio. Would definitely return, every member of staff was so lovely and we had a very luxurious holiday!

Wonderful hotel with stunning views. Just a few-minute walk to the beach, cliffs, restaurants and kayak tours. Service was exceptional, with staff being very helpful and polite. We very much enjoyed staying around the pool, which was very clean and with plenty of fresh towels available. My favourite part of the day was breakfast, with lots of options for everyone and freshly squeezed juice options and coffee prepared to order. There was even a chef who prepared omelettes, poached eggs and other 'specialities of the day' as requested. All products, such as bread, cheese, fruit and veg were tasty and good quality. There are plenty of decent, good restaurants within walking distance. I especially recommend Il Borgo (Italian) and Margem Sul (Portuguese-style steak was delicious).

The pool area and outside is gorgeous and perfect to chill in with three pools and a variety of sun loungers, athough it can get busy. Having said that the pool staff are so good, patient and fairly quick even when it is busy. However, I think sometimes other areas like reception were not always as efficient and sometimes took a really long time to answer calls. breakfast was nice but if you are vegetarian and don't eat eggs, I found hot options very limited. It is easy to make these and make them tasty, with not too much effort. For example, make scrambled tofu instead of eggs or even have some has browns or avocado on toast. We were limited in this respect. Overall a lovely hotel but not quite 5 stars.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. Every staff member went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and cared for. The hotel was spotless, beautifully maintained, and everything was thoughtfully organized. What really stood out was how personal and special they made our experience. It was my daughter’s birthday, and to our surprise, they left her a handwritten note along with a cake and candle waiting in the room. Such a thoughtful touch that made her day unforgettable. Every detail was well thought of, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for exceptional service and a truly memorable stay.

Our stay at Kimpton Atlântico Algarve was incredible. Our room looked brand new and the garden view was stunning. The staff were very accommodating and the service was amazing. The amenities this hotel offered were incredible as well. If you are looking for a relaxing 5 star hotel holiday, this is the right place. We would definitely come back!

This was a fantastic experience in this hotel. The staff was super nice. The breakfast was the most delicious I ever had and the décor of the hotel is very modern, not to mention the beautiful room with their comfortable bed. It’s 8 stars for me if I could. I am not recommending to have a drinks in the bar or restaurant!!!!! One shout Of Tequila cost almost $100 (76 Euros) !!!, and the stuff didn't show the price upfront and I took Double shout for $200 , !!! The Whole bottle of Do Julio 1952 cost $150 in the store!

Lovely new property with beautiful decor and facilities however need more staff who are properly trained to provide a 5 star service. Breakfast service awful with tables left dirty and plates not cleared. Had to ask many times for coffee. Also pool service not great.

Newly refurbished hotel. Still some building works going on but this wasn't a problem. Staff were helpful but many obviously new to the service industry with a bit to learn still. The gym was very good and we used this every day. Very clean everywhere. Very good breakfast choices but the hot food was consistently cold, not helped by no warmed plates. Would I return - yes.
