To start with, we were sent a text to pre check in but when we arrived they asked the same questions. Why did I bother with precheck in? The hotel is old. It has been renovated but everything is enough to be adequate, nothing extra at all. This is. It what my La Quinta experience has been in the past.

LaQuinta Albuquerque Sunport

Close to the airport, but semi-sketchy area. Outdoor corridors. Booked a 1st floor, handicapped room with 2 double beds on the Hotels.com app. At check in, manager said they dont have handicapped rooms with 2 double beds. Had a connecting door to room next door. Ppl in that room had TV volume at max level at 1am. (thank goodness for ear plugs). Plumbing in shower exposed (app not allowing me tto upload photos) and no hot water from sink. Bathroom difficult to manuever in. Breakfast only 6a-9a, airport shuttle only runs til 11pm (son's flight got in on time at 1145pm.) Do not believe this location was an original LaQuinta, rather a different chain that got bought out by LaQuinta. Second stay at a LaQuinta with issues.

This was a horrible experience I checked in and checked right back out. The bathroom was disgusting mold everywhere, covers for the hot and cold knobs literally missing. Cigarette burns on the bathtub. The place felt very unsafe, large dog barking non stop in the room next to me. I literally walked in took a video of the nasty bathroom and left, I was told by the front desk person I had to come at Expedia for a refund but come to find out the manager from the property is now refusing a refund. This was a horrible experience.

Front office and breakfast area was clean and looked recently remodeled. Our room was at the back of the hotel. Old and not remodeled. Not clean. Pulled out a bedside table to find an outlet and it was dirty. Hard to find outlets to plug in electronics. There was a car parked outside our room for at least a couple hours with 2 young males in it, not sure what they were doing, but I was disturbing. Did not feel safe. Not going to stay there again.

Dissappointed

I was dissappointed in the fact the inn was a motel not hotel. The picture online was deceiving. It looked like a hotel but one had to drive to the back of the building and the door to your room was outside. In my book, thats a motel. I nomally stay at the holiday inn express. Their rooms you enter through the lobby with your room enteance indoors. I have an issue with the window being next to the door when it is an outdoor entrance to your room.

In town for the night!

The check-in was simple, and the staff was very pleasant. The room was comfortable and had all the accessories; ironing board, a refrigerator (that worked!). Our stay, although only one night was very nice.
