Where to start? What's not to like here. A stunning loch-side location; beautiful and well-appointed room overlooking the loch, Nespresso facilities, great shower-room. The breakfasts were excellent. We ate in the restaurant on one evening and could not fault a thing. The choice, presentation and taste of the food were all superb. We had a minor issue in our room but the staff were onto it and it was fixed in no time. I couldn't recommend this place more.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The surroundings are beautiful. The attached restaurant has good quality, beautifully presented food. The onsite breakfast is of high quality too. However, the room is very small and lacks natural light and is poorly ventilated. The room we had was pricey for what it was, but was probably based on the beautiful location.

We had a lovely stay to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. Despite some negative comments I reserved the hotel and was not disappointed. Perfect stay in Loch Lomond suite number 4 with splendid uninterrupted views over the loch. Staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay here. Our room was perfect, breakfast was delicious, the hotel is spotless and the staff in all areas were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is lovely, we ate there twice, the food both times was delicious and the view is incredible no matter where you sit. We can’t praise the place enough!

Property was nice although we werent aware after paying £200 to stay for one night that we had to leave an aditional £50 incase we made a mess or broke somthing, we werent aware of this and took offence. Concidering right outside at the public park it was over grown with litter,plastic bottles and left over DIY barbacue trays, end to end parking which meant we couldnt even park, wont be returning

First and last visit - shockingly bad experience.

I booked our stay a month in advance and requested a cot for my two-year-old, which was confirmed twice. At check-in, staff reassured us it had been arranged. But when we entered the room, it wasn’t there. At 8:30 PM we returned to find it still missing. Reception said all cots had been issued. A staff member eventually brought one, but it was broken and unusable. No alternative was offered. From 8:30 to 9:30 PM, staff were in and out of our room. No privacy, no peace, and no safe place for our toddler to sleep — in your most expensive suite. The sofa bed offered was broken with exposed springs. I had to help force it open, and when I tried to lay my son on it, he cried out in pain. He became distressed and injured himself running around the room. We were forced to leave at 9:30 PM and drive home in torrential rain and darkness, with a crying child and a distressed wife. The following day, which I had taken off work, was ruined. We lost money on bookings and our plans were cancelled. While we received an apology, no compensation was offered. Given your previous refusal to provide a nebuliser to a terminally ill child — and now failing to accommodate a toddler’s basic need to sleep — your hotel is clearly not family-friendly. The food is overpriced, the service poor, and Duck Bay is clearly going downhill. I would avoid it entirely if you have children.

A must stay in Loch Lomand

What a hidden gem at the bottom of Loch Lomand. There is a park, an amazing restaurant, and the grounds and hotel are amazing with kind staff. We had a room with a slider out to a view of the loch. The room was clean and quiet. We loved it!

Chilling place for a break

Beautiful location. 1 mile and a half walk via Loch edge from Balloch. Shop centre and sealife.. Duck bay beautiful..... Been a few times... Will return

Fabulous hotel. Recently renovated. Restaurant was superb. The views were fantastic. Not a complaint but a suggestion. It would be helpful to have a vending machine with bottled water. You have to go to the bar and purchase a bottle of mineral water at over £6 per bottle. Apart from that absolutely brilliant.

Duck Bay Marina Hotel

Only a basic double room available as we were late making our booking but we were very pleasantly surprised with our ground floor bedroom. We even had an outside seating area! Had dinner on the evening of arrival in the hotel restaurant. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Would definitely go back again.
