The Longhorn Ranch Motel was built in 1991 and has seen the ownership change a few times over the years. As of March 1st, 2024, the new owners of The Longhorn Ranch Motel hope to provide the same quiet, beautiful and clean environment that has been enjoyed in the past with a few subtle improvements. Conveniently located near Big Bend National Park. Come explore the parks and then come back to our quiet motel and relax by the pool.
All standard rooms come furnished with a microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker. Additionally, complimentary Wi-Fi is available in each room.

The distance described prior to booking showed around 16 minutes from Big Bend National Park, that was very misleading, drove for 1 hour instead.swimming pool didn’t look good.

The heater in our room stopped working at midnight. We froze. We didn’t contact the host because we were so exhausted and would have had to move all of our stuff. The light between the beds wouldn’t work and was missing a shade. The bed was comfortable. I wish we would have known there was no TV in the room so we could have brought a laptop or something. We came in late and had no idea where our room was and there was no one to ask, so my husband had to walk the rooms in the cold until he found ours. It would have been nice to have a little map showing us where to go in the dark. Overall the room didn’t meet our basic needs with the heater not working but we made do.

Our trip to the Longhorn Ranch Motel exceeded our expectations. My daughter and I were traveling alone to visit Big Bend and I was a little nervous about the remoteness of the trip. We felt completely safe, the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was also kind and considerate. We had a short drive to the park with a convenient gas station on the way! I would recommend this motel to anyone taking a trip to the area.

Good location close to the national park and state park. Beautiful ground. Called twice before my trip and staff answered phone quickly and offered instructions clearly. Checking in and out was smooth. I did not get to meet the staff because of the time I left and returned during my stay. Restaurant closed at 4 so I didn't get to try the food. Overall a very pleasant stay.

You are out in the country in the desert. For us, this was a plus. So incrediblty quiet, peaceful and great scenery. Millions of stars with a brilliant twinkling Milky Way at night. Easy to find and lots of free parking. Staff cooked to order; wonderful breakfast. Friendly privately owned property. It is pet friendly but none were there when we stayed. Barking dogs would have ruined it. Highly recommend to adventurous outdoor types. Would definitely stay again.
