Hello, I am writing to formally file a complaint and request the immediate processing of a refund regarding a serious safety incident during our stay at Best Western Plus Amarillo East. During our stay in Room 305, the front desk mistakenly issued our room key to another guest. As a result, a strange man suddenly opened our room door and entered our room while we were inside. This was extremely frightening and completely unacceptable from a guest safety standpoint. After this incident, our room key stopped working and we had to return to the front desk to have it reset. Because of this situation, we felt unsafe and were unable to sleep properly for the remainder of the night. In addition, the Wi-Fi was not working and the neighboring room was very noisy, further affecting our stay. We were told by the hotel manager that we would receive a refund and that we would be contacted by phone. However, we never received a call and no refund has been processed to date. This was a serious security failure, and we are extremely disappointed that the promised resolution has not been honored. Please process the promised refund immediately and confirm it in writing. If this matter is not resolved immediately, we will have no choice but to escalate this issue through corporate guest relations and other appropriate channels. Awesome hotel location is not bad, the floors in the upgraded rooms are a lil slick barefoot. No fans in the bathrooms and the dog area is really really small but kept up nice. The girls at the check in are really sweet . As a whole we loved our room and we will be back. Also the pillows need to be better.

First, the night receptionist was adamant that we did not have a reservation, since she could not find my name in her system. I explained that we. certainly did have a reserved room, I knew I had made this with Expedia, and advised her that the hotel had sent me reminders all day, at least three, that we were being welcomed to our upcoming visit that day. She then asked that I show here these texts and messages on my phone as proof. Finally, she complained that it was Expedia’s fault, since they used my last name instead of my first name. First clue that this place is not well trained in customer service. Then, the toilet in our bathroom had a broken flushing mechanism, causing us to have to take the back off the toilet to make it flush manually. The breakfast was dry, limited and non appetizing. When I asked the morning manager for help with an important fax I had to send, she said, “I don’t know anything about how to fax. But you can go figure it out yourself.” Here’s what I figured out, it’s a strong NO at this hotel. Don’t waste your money.
