Amity Flats: Jory Flat ~ A Historic Suite in the Heart of Amity

Jory is the state soil of Oregon and is found nearby in the Dundee Hills AVA. The Jory Flat is also the flagship of the Amity Flats. All of our flats are named after the types of soil found in the vineyards around the Willamette Valley. Just east of town is the beautiful Eola-Amity Hills, home to more than 30 outstanding wineries and dozens of gorgeous vineyards. Walk across the street to Coelho Winery take the short drive to the inspirational Antica Terra vineyard site or visit the monastery of the Brigittine monks to sample some of their award-winning chocolates. Where Jory now sits, the leaders of the local Masonic Lodge once conducted meetings more than 100 years ago from a large, raised platform. Modern guests can look to the east through updated windows to view the lovely Eola-Amity Hills. The bright and airy room is decorated in blue, green, and grey furnishings, creating a peaceful, romantic mood.

The Jory Flat includes a semi-private bedroom with a queen bed with its own large window on the east wall, with exposed antique brick on the south wall. The living room sofa converts to a double bed to sleep two more, and a rollaway bed may be added to sleep a total of five. The bathroom enjoys natural light from a window on the south wall and features an antique, clawfoot bathtub next to a modern, walk-in shower enclosed by glass bricks. 

The kitchen is equipped with a small dining table, a French press featuring Caravan Coffee, a full-size refrigerator, a microwave, and an electric stovetop. A BBQ grill on the patio ensures that you will have everything you need to prepare meals. If carrying your luggage up a flight of stairs is too challenging, you will find a lift to make the trip easier! The operating instructions can be found in your digital guidebook as well as on the inside wall of the lift.
