First, let me say that this is a nice hotel is you’re looking for something close to Schiphol airport. Good value for the price paid.
The reason for my low rating is due to the fact that it was not clear where the check-in area was: I booked at the Urban hotel got dropped off there by my taxis with my 2 suitcases only to be told to go back to the main hotel reception to check in. There was no mention of this in my booking or on the hotel website.
The security guard at the Urban told me that I would get an upgrade as a result which obviously was not the case. I have worked in customer service and can accept errors but please don’t make promises you can’t follow through with.
The other item I disliked was the fact there was no way to turn off the lights in the bathroom. When I called, I was told I should wait a couple of minutes as they turn off automatically. This is only the case IF the 2 bathroom doors are perfecty closed. It’s also annoying when you’re trying to sleep right away to get this light coming through the glass bathroom doors.
Otherwise, the hotel was on.
