I have multiple chemical sensitivity and had a great experience at this hotel. They use green cleaning products so i had no problems. Could open the window a little so fresh air. Ordered the salmon from room service and was excellent—this dish was probably better than anything i could have gotten at restaurants close to the hotel. Not good restaurants in that area close to the Movenpick. If i ever come back to Amsterdam, I’ll stay here!!

Loved the hotel, everything about it except the awkward walk to train station and to tourist area. Not far, but awkward if you have walking issues. Hotel was clean and fresh feeling, food offerings excellent and had a lovely bar for gathering and relaxing in the evening.

We stayed here for one night prior to going on a river cruise. The hotel is well within a comfortable walking distance from Centraal Station as well as all the shopping touristy areas. Everything in the room is great except they don’t have air conditioning in the window. Only opens about 1 inch. I called three different times to complain and only on the third time. I was told that the hotel does not have air conditioning so you cannot control the temperature in your room. It was soooo hot.

Location yes. Service not so much.

I picked this hotel for its convenient proximity to the cruise terminal. In that respect, it was perfect—just a two minute walk. While I find the Dutch exceptionally friendly overall, I was not at all impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff which fell short of what I normally encounter. On check-out, I had to fill out a form with my credit card and personal information because their system was down. The first time in my admittedly long life that includes travel to over 90 countries, including many third world countries. The Mövenpick Chocolate Hour was a joke. The first time we came down to the lobby, we were told it was already over. The second time we came down to the lobby at one minute after the start time. No chocolates in sight. My wife checked with the desk clerk who checked with her supervisor. They said it was all gone.That was laughable. Apparently, they think we were born yesterday, despite our gray hair. We didn’t waste our time on the third day. My point is don’t advertise and make a big deal about something that doesn’t exist or where you disappoint your customers.Next time visit, we’ll stay somewhere else. I suspect that because they have a hotel with a prime location, they don’t focus on customer service.,
