Very happy with the room. Comfortable bed and all very clean.
Only things in the bathroom are the shower fixing is broken so have to hold the shower head. Also the handrail is coming away from the wall.
We have a very good stay thank you.
Would not recommend as a solo traveler if you are booking a single room - photos are inaccurate. My room was in the basement/ground level to the courtyard, very dark, and smelled like smoke (although this is a non smoking property.) You can also hear everything in the hallways. Only plus sides were that the area was walking distance to a lot, close to airport, and that the staff here were friendly. Would recommend staying elsewhere if you want comfort.

Convenient Location
I loved my stay at Sonder Park House. I was a solo traveller and felt really safe there. It was a short walk to the tram and nice restaurants and the Van Gogh Museum. Right across the road to Vondell Park. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room had everything I needed plus the bathroom had a bath. 👏
It felt like a hostel. Room did not match what was pictured, they didn’t have basic black tea (EG only), chair was stained and there was no bedside lamp. It’s not the luxury advertised and it was not a place I wanted to spend any time in. The price was extortionate for what it was and I’m rationalising it on the basis of the location only. I would not stay here again.
The property is in a great location, very central and very easy to find.. it has a lovely entrance with a cosy fire in the somewhat sparse lounge area .
The room itself was small but functional and unfortunately smelt of damp/mould from the open bathroom. It also had paint peeling off the walls and a dirty carpet and dusty curtains that are not easy to pull closed ..
The bed itself was comfortable.
We first got a ‘DeLuxe’ room which was in the basement with two smallish windows facing a shaft with a brick wall about 1m from the window. No sunlight. Windows could not open leaving air slightly stale. Mid stay we got another better room, very small but with actual windows which was an improvement.
A bit of a drag to find strands of long dark hair around the bathroom when we both are blond.
Staff in the reception where kind but that did not make up for the disappointing facilities.
Never again.
Position of the hotel was great, near the museum area and boat trips. In a newer area of the city so a walk if you wanted to visit the old town. Nice park across the road. The hotel is tired. Access keypad never worked but always someone to buzz you in. Staff were brilliant and very helpful. Lounge are was nice and warm. The room was small, a bit tired with paint damage, grubby carpets. Beds were comfy, the window let a gale through the gaps! Bathroom had no door so you need to be “good friends!” Toilet is super small, no basin and the toilet itself raised up a crazy height!!! Shower was ok, a rainfall and standard though the standard was a little blocked up. We stayed three nights and it was fine.
Hostel for the price of a 5 star hotel, absolutely not worth booking it! No breakfast option available and airco giving terrible noise the whole night. Not recommendable!
room didnt look well kept, shower has curly hair in ( I have straight hair). Heat system wasnt the best - I felt a draft of wind in the room the first night and the room was freezing. whatever system is being used is not working efficiently.

I don't think I have slept in such a small bedroom since I was 11 and was given the box room as the younger son. I just fitted on the bed and sitting on the loo required my best gymnastic skills! As others have mentioned in their reviews, the single rooms are smaller than photos would suggest. This was the 5th hotel I stayed in during this trip and the bedroom was by far the most uncomfortable.
Reception staff were lovely and an asset to Sonder.
Good location and easy to get trams to and from the station etc.
