Choose another hotel in the area

This hotel is seriously bad. Dated, uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Parking is $40, I mean common. There are plenty of options in downtown Anchorage, that are much better (I am saying this based on my experience). Do yourself a favor and skip this property.

Nice spot in downtown Anchorage. Although downtown Anchorage (in my opinion) isn't the best spot for restaurants and fun activities, this property was conveniently located and walkable to the places that were available. Beds were comfy, room was clean, and I liked that we had a patio.

Westmark is a good value for a longer stay. We were there for a week, using it as a home-base for excursions to Whittier, Denali and Seward. It is centrally located to the train station and shuttle pick-ups around Anchorage. If you are only in for one or two nights, you might want to spend more money for an upgraded hotel. If you're on a limited budget, Westmark is a decent option as you get what you pay for. The staff is very nice. We were on the 12 floor and could still hear every train whistle, plane, truck, car... bring a sound machine if you want to sleep.

Very average place to stay. Vending machines not in stock, no remote in the room for the tv, multiple times to go and get cards reset because they stopped working, door handle worked half the time. Just constant issues
