"Spiti" Sea View Neoclassical Apartment in Stenies
"Spiti", the word for home in greek, is a fully renovated traditional neoclassical apartment that can accommodate up to 4 guests and is located in the beautiful village of Stenies.
The apartment was built in the late 1800s by the owner's great grandfather and has been recently carefully curated to combine the existing vintage pieces and furniture with modern updates.
Stenies village is located on the Eastern side of Andros and is only 5 km away from the capital of Andros, Chora and 37 km away from port of Andros, Gavrio. At only 2 km from the house, you can visit the beaches of “Gyalia” and “Piso Gyalia”, with crystal clear blue waters and you can also find local restaurants, cafés and a beach bar.
Stenies, is considered as one of the biggest villages in Andros and has been home to generations of captains and seamen that have shaped the rich shipping culture of the island. In addition, one of its unique characteristics is that it is "car-free" meaning that there are no car streets or cars driving through the village.
There are big free parking spaces located around the village, where you can leave your car, and explore the narrow quaint alleys, the traditional yards full of blooming flowers, and the flourishing fragrant lemon trees.
The apartment is located at the very top of Stenies, offering unobstructed panoramic view of the sea and the village.
You can park your car at the nearby free parking space and then walk through the pedestrian street for about 250 meters and approximately 60 steps up to reach the house. It is a short walk through the traditional houses that will immediately make you feel the vibes of the village, the laid-back rhythm of the locals and travel your mind back to a different era.
The house consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 living room with dining area and a fully equipped kitchen, 1 bathroom with shower and a large outdoor seating area. The house can accommodate up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed each.
