Ferienwohnung Ankershagen
Idyllically situated next to the neighbouring estate park in Friedrichsfelde, only a 10-minute walk from the Müritz National Park, there are 4 guest rooms for a total of 7 adults and 1-2 babies on the upper floor of the old manor house and a restaurant on the ground floor offering breakfast (for a fee) as well as a restaurant serving regional, home-style cooking and homemade cakes from Wednesday to Sunday (11 am to 8 pm).The Schliemann Museum with the famous Trojan Horse is only approx. 600 metres away, a restaurant approx. 1 km and a beautiful swimming area on the Mühlensee approx. 5 km. Shopping facilities can be found in Möllenhagen (6 km) or in Penzlin (10 km). The popular Berlin-Copenhagen long-distance cycle route runs directly through the village.
The centrally heated non-smoking double room was renovated in 2022 and is accessible via a separate entrance (stairs). There is the possibility of an extra bed for 1 baby. Cot on request. There is a small dining table with chairs, fridge, kettle, capsule coffee machine, flat screen TV and a bathroom with shower/WC. There are plenty of parking spaces, bicycle storage facilities, a playground with an information board about the national park, a cot on request and free WiFi.
The holiday price includes final cleaning, bed linen, towels and all additional costs. To be paid on site: Breakfast (if requested) 10 EUR/person. Pets are not allowed.
Ankershagen is primarily associated with the famous archaeologist and Troy discoverer Heinrich Schliemann, who spent his childhood in the vicarage opposite the church. The listed 18th century house now houses a museum. The highlight of the exhibitions is a large model of the Trojan Horse, while Ankershagen is also considered the gateway to the Müritz National Park, which is one of the most important habitats for rare animals and plants thanks to its huge forest complexes, many small lakes, meadows and moors. Visitors can explore the area themselves using the well-developed network of cycling and hiking trails. Guided excursions are offered for observing wild animals and birds. Numerous observation towers have been built for this purpose. In the village itself there is an information centre with exhibitions, bike hire and a café. The Havel spring lake area, which is particularly popular with paddlers, is just 2 kilometres away. The tourist centre of the Mecklenburg Lake District, the climatic health resort of Waren an der Müritz, is approx. 22 km away.
