Beautiful hotel! Took off a star as we were given the wrong room and when we told the lady at reception she was very rude about it. The next day the man at reception was a lot more apologetic which we appreciated. Still a lovely hotel and stay

The location was great for exploring the city on foot, and it was nice to have a restaurant on site with a wide variety of drink and food options. However, bells were set off every morning at 6:00, 6:30, and 7:00 - we were not prepared for this, and had difficulty sleeping. The staff were somewhat helpful, but when I tried to set up a shuttle to pick us up from the Guatemala City airport, they didn't respond after initially setting it up and providing our information. Because of this we had to find a ride at the airport, which was an inconvenience.

I really wanted to love this place. It’s so breathtaking. The staff was pretty nice and welcoming—got into my room a little early. The property is gorgeous but I was very uncomfortable because I couldn’t stay warm. The room had a fountain right outside and I hate noise so this was another drawback for me. It’s very rustic and it gets cold at night and it’s hard to stay warm. No heater just blankets. The biggest perk was the spa and the breakfast. The cacao massage was very good, the therapist did a wonderful job. The restaurant staff was a little distracted and the food was hit or miss. The chilaquiles were probably the best dish , even better than ones I had in Cdmx. The chef was really nice and was eager to make the meal to my liking. I would stay again but ask for a room away from the fountain and during a warm season since they do offer AC just no heating in the rooms.

Lovely hotel for our first few days in Guatemala, very comfortable rooms (hot water in shower takes a while to come through but this is normal) with a lovely breakfast on the terrace each morning overlooking a volcano and very friendly staff. Slightly further out than some hotels but still walkable to eg the main square.
