18th century independent stone farmhouse, the stone house is located in a pretty village typical of the Ile de France. Arnouville is accessible from Paris by the A13 47 minutes from Porte Maillot or RN 12. 15 minutes by car from the station Mantes la Jolie, (45 minutes from Paris Gare St Lazare). 10 minutes by car from Orgerus train station (50 minutes from Paris Gare Montparnasse)
Arnouville is 8 minutes from the castle and Zoological Park Thoiry, 35 minutes from the Palace of Versailles, 30 minutes from Giverny, 8 minutes from Septeuil and Rosay.
In the Yvelines, the green lung of the island of France, the inevitable Chevreuse valley, and French Vexin park among others offer many opportunities for ballads. At 10 minutes, golfers will have access to the Golf de Guerville. At 15 minutes, they will find the golf of Vaucouleurs. At 5 minutes, the stables of Bazainville welcome riders from 5 years. Spacious, clean and great for kids

My extended family lives in the area so location-wise it was perfect for our family of four (two adults, a 6yo and 1yo). All of the amenities were as promised. We were greeted on time for both checkin and checkout. We had lovely weather so the terrace was perfect for enjoying the late sunsets. The books, games and toys were great for the kids. Fun aside: there were swallows’ nests in the garage so the host asked that we keep the garage door facing the yard propped open so the birds could get in and out. My daughter loved that. Very quiet and peaceful. The bedrooms and play area are upstairs so be prepared to keep a close eye on your toddler if he/she is not good with stairs. As for getting into town, definitely plan on having a car because the closest major town (Mantes-la-Jolie) is about 15-20min away. Otherwise, there’s a small convenience store walking distance from the house and a great little « boulangerie «  in Guerville (less than 10min away). Also, house linens are provided for an extra fee, which we sprung for because packing a suitcase full of sheets and towels and flying them from LA seemed silly.
