Well, let’s start at the beginning. I arrived via Car not one of your valets came over to help me get the things out of my car. They stood there while I struggled with my suitcase, my chairs, etc. Ultimately a man showed up and took my luggage. You charged $100 a night for a car parking. That’s outrageous and a total rip off. Then I asked if you have a room available for early check-in you said yes but it was $125. Another total rip off. The room was mediocre best. The refrigerator was old and wobbly. The shower nozzle was so low that it was difficult to wash my hair as I’m tall. And the pool was closed on Tuesday the day after Labor Day and we couldn’t even use it. In addition, you say you have endless coffee in the lobby. Each room should have their own coffee maker. Plus your “endless“ coffee only goes till 10 AM. It was a disappointing stay for the price I paid and the parking. You take advantage of being on the beach and rip people off.

My family and I have been staying here for the past 5 years. This year there were many more dogs than past years. Lots of barking into the night. Mattresses not comfortable at all. Pool food is not quality for the amount of $ u spend. Hotel should make that area by the pond an area to buy pool food and sit down breakfast and lunch. Should have a good restsurant in the hotel.

Terrible staff

Service has gone down in recent years. Used to be a fun trip staff was always gracious and accommodating. We were harassed at the pool by an employee who insisted that we were on lounges that we had to pay to sit on. This was on a Monday morning pool was fairly empty, plenty of available seating. This was so uncalled for and unprofessional. After the fact a sign was put up at the entrance that some lounges had a fee. The damage was already done. Totally wrong to treat us this way. Later in the day same employee harassed us about towels on unattended chairs. Eventually complained and was offered two drinks, big deal. An apology from the employee was have been more meaningful. Sadly I will not return to the Berkeley again.

4pm check in was a bit late. I arrived earlier and was offered early check-in for $100+. Also felt $75 a day was expensive to park. I did not valet it because of that high price. Love the renovations.

We were staying for a busy holiday weekend. The property was affordable and the bed was comfortable. The bathrooms had badly damaged (or poorly installed) hardware that was falling apart and not staying in their proper position. I didn't mind saving money without the ocean view, but I didn't realize it would mean having to hear the loud partying from the bar next door. We couldn't sleep until after last call at 2 a.m. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioning unit was so loud and turned back on every five minutes. There was convenient breakfast downstairs and a shop. Access to a hot water kettle would make life far easier. It was super convenient for a short weekend, and the staff were wonderfully friendly and informative.

The location was great but parking was $90 a DAY and also charge a $28+ hotel fee a day onto the already expensive prices for average room. Hotel is dated compared to others in the area. Not sure what the hotel fee is even for, it seems it is just a way to pad the bill. Front desk staff were nice but only 1 person working so took time to check in. My main issue is the price of parking and resort fee. Never have ever had to pay $90 A DAY to park. Pretty ridiculous
