Great getaway weekend at Lake Erie

We had a group of 3 people looking for a short getaway to the lake. We specifically wanted to avoid the noise and nonsense of The Geneva On The Lake strip while still being close enough to hop over there (12 mins) for some wine by the Lake. Ashtabula Harbor House was a very short drive/several block walk to Walnut Beach in Ashtabula. It was also very close to the Ashtabula downtown area with lots of good restaurants but not snooty in any way. We happened to luck out with our choice of weekend as it was the Wine and Walleye festival at the harbor. Sheryl was the perfect host of the home. She has painstakingly thought of everything for you and has stocked the house with things you didn’t even realize you’d need. If you choose to stay anywhere else other than here, you’re wasting your money. We will definitely be back and wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else.
