We stayed at your hotel on Saturday, February 7th and checked out on Sunday, February 8th. Upon entering our room the room was cold and was 62 degrees. We turned the heat up to 70 and went out for the night. When we returned around midnight the room was still only 62 degrees and we again attempted to turn the heat up. Though out the night we tried several times to turn the heat on and it would not turn on, only cold air came out. We called the front desk around 8am to let them know and told them we would be leaving since we had been so cold all night. They told us there was nothing they could do. We even tried to talk to someone at the front desk when we were leaving because we were unable to stay due to the room being too cold. Considering the outside temperatures in Nj are currently in the single digits we were looking forward to returning to a warm room. We stayed in room 801, and if this is not make right we will never return to this property.

The room was OK but the lighting is horrible. Our TV didn’t work and when I called to the front desk, they just said you’re not responsible for it didn’t offer to bring a new one or try and remedy the situation. There was maybe one or two elevators working and there was some kind of billiard tournament and the elevators were filled and it was a mess. I’d rather spend the extra hundred dollars or more and stay at one of the casinos in area.

Room was clean. Front desk person seemed bothered when we checked in like we were bothering him. We were able to check in early which was nice. We stayed 2 nights. We placed dirty towels and washcloths on the floor and we did not receive replacements. Elevators were terrible. There was a pool Tournament and an indoor auto race the weekend we stayed so it was busy but it seemed like only 2 of the elevators were working. Several times we rode down to go up or up to go down to avoid waiting for the elevator only for the doors to open to a packed elevator with no room. Overall the room was ok but the service could have been better.

The front desk staff was very nice. However the elevators were not working during our stay. We had a room on the 16th floor and had to take the stairs both ways for 2 days. That was pretty brutal. The room was neat but very tired and in need of updating. The parking garage was an ice slick on the 9 level and was not salted. It was extremely slick and dangerous to walk and drive on. We definitely wouldn’t pay to stay here again unfortunately.

The hotel itself is very pretty but our experience met no standards! This is everything my sig other and I noticed about our stay at the Claridge. When we arrived, the parking was confusing, there’s a large sign that says turn here for Claridge self parking, we turned and there was no where to go so we had to turn around and I found the front desk to ask where we park, there are 2 streets, where the sign is- that’s not the correct street, it’s down a block. When we got to the room (King Whirlpool room 2050) first during the entire duration of our stay- one of the elevators were always out of use and broken. Anyway when we got to the room, we initially thought it was very nice but then we started looking around… there was a broken, fake, press on nail in our shower, white stains on our black, decorative, bed spread (I truly don’t want to believe what we both thought it was!). There was MOLD in our fridge and when we opened it, it absolutely reeked! It was so bad it made both of us nauseous! And I'm not just talking about the white or green fuzzy stuff.. no I’m talking layered BLACK MOLD. 100% health hazard and huge liability!! Half of the outlets in our room did not work. The lock on our door was broken so we only could rely on the keycard lock and the one screwed into the wall. Housekeeping never came the entire duration of our stay which we both thought was extremely odd. List goes on but im almost out of characters. Overall- we would NOT STAY again by any means!!!

The elevators could use some work, both in the hotel and their parking garage. Take about 15 to 20 minutes for it to get to your floor. Carpets were coming up in the room, but other then that the overall room was good.

The Claridge hotel is a historic hotel with an old timey feel. If you want modern, this isn't your place. The furniture and rooms do show signs of wear and tear but we loved the decor. Bed was comfortable. We had an issue with our whirlpool and staff took care of us, Teresa at the front desk showed exceptional customer service! They also have a 20's themed Italian restaurant. Nice indoor pool. The best bartenders at their rooftop bar, the Vue. They have a cannabis lounge that you can access on the opposite side of the building. Best of all, you literally take the elevator to the 2nd floor and walk straight into Bally's casino! Boardwalk is right there too. I will be staying here again.
