Shower had about 5 drops coming out - terrible. Bathroom wall tiles around bath dirty. No basics like plates or cutlery. No small kitchen sink - had to use bathroom for glass of water. Harbour views blocked by cruise ship - no notice given that would be the case. Staff lovely.

Everything about this property was outstanding. Nothing was a problem for any of the staff members. The room was beautiful and clean. The buffet breakfast had so many options and everything was divine. You can also order pancakes from their buffet menu that is included in the cost of the buffet! We will definitely be staying here again

The complimentary breakfast buffet was delicious, plentiful, contained many options, and is located in a beautiful spot overlooking the harbour. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. They really made you feel "at home " even if home is across the world.

Property was great and staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative is that the only parking option is valet. The valet team were terrific but it's overpriced of it's not included and a bit of a hassle.

Disappointing experience

Balcony was absolutely filthy when we checked in, it was clearly not cleaned for days or weeks. Disgusting to see rubbish and poop when looking out at the harbour. Bathroom had stains around the bath faucet. Breakfast buffet had very few dairy free options and the food signs were inconsistent with the allergy info, which could be dangerous if you had severe allergies. My husband ordered the pancakes and said they were good, fried eggs and bacon were fine. Soy milk was freely available. Service was fine. Condition of room was a bit old and tattered. Bed was comfy and big. Be aware that you will be able to hear quite loud ferry horns at all hours, rooms are not soundproofed. They woke me up early in the morning. I was not informed about works at the hotel until I checked in. Hilton blamed hotels.com who I booked through, however the responsibility sits with Hilton to ensure it is clear to guests at the time of booking, and it was not despite them being planned works. Works were noisy both in the room and more so on the balcony. I would not have booked the room if I knew. Assistant manager Catherine tried really hard to make up for the issues but a free drink at the bar or a complimentary brownie - which was apparently sent to our room but we didn't receive it - doesn't make up for the poor experience.

Great location, hence we picked this hotel. Check in was at 3pm. We waited around until this time, headed in only to be told our room wasn’t ready! Had to wait until 4pm to even get into the room. The hotel staff called when ready which was convenient. This made our evening unnecessarily rushed as we had to be out at an event soon after. Hotel itself is nice, the rooms are fairly outdated and drabby. Given the price, I would have expected better condition suites & better service. Much nicer hotels available for half the price in Auckland.
