Palm Beach Lodge - Koru

Koru apartment at Palm Beach Lodge is the closest apartment to the beautiful sands of Palm Beach. It provides stunning, panoramic views of Palm Beach bay, all the way to Little Barrier island. A 3 minute walk from the front door will take you through sub-tropical gardens, down to the beautiful sands of Palm Beach.
It can comfortably accommodate up to 2 couples or 4 single guests, or a family with two children.

Both bedrooms come with lounge areas and are very large, with King split beds (can be either double or 2 Single beds) and walk-in wardrobes. Both of these rooms open out onto expansive decks and overlook the sweeping northern beach views.
Bathroom has shower and toilet.
Kitchenette with fridge/freezer, electric hob, baking microwave, coffee plunger and all cooking utensils. Dining for four within the kitchen or on the expansive deck.

Little Barrier Island is visible on the horizon, the islands of the ‘Noises’ and ‘Tiri Tiri Matangi’ are to the left, Great Barrier Island to the right and in the foreground Palm Beach is invitingly close with the sound of the sea ever present.
The zig-zag path winds down through the lush, sub-tropical garden to the road below and through the children`s park to the long, sandy beach – an all-tide, safe swimming beach. The walk to the water’s edge takes about three minutes in all.

5 min walk to Palm Beach Fish and Chip shop and convenience store. The Lookout Restaurant & Bar is located up the hill from Palm Beach. A 10 minute drive to the car ferry at Kennedy Point and approximately an 8 min drive to the passenger ferry located at Matiatia.
There are some beautiful walks in the area as well as a playground and free BBQ facilities. Palm Beach is a beautiful, white, sandy beach - safe swimming so good for kids, great snorkeling, diving. If the wind is blowing in from the north you can get some good surf, but generally the water is calm.

Linen is provided (sheets, bath towel, tea towels etc), but you need to bring your own beach towels.
If you can not travel to our property because of Covid Level lockdowns i.e. level 4 or 3, then we are happy for you to either transfer your booking dates to another time or get a full refund.

Last time at this property.

Unfortunately this property is very tired and needs a major update. Furniture on deck old and broken. Nail’s protruding on deck. Barbecue needs replacing. Tiles in bathroom floor cracked. Bed uncomfortable. Sorry we would have expected so much more for the nightly rate.

So close to beach. Amazing views. Parking is a bit tricky for bigger cars. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful views and a nice apartment.

Beautiful views and a nice apartment. Loved being able to take our dog. The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is the walk down to the unit from the car is very steep, and it was difficult to transport a lot of luggage. We had two people in our group with knee issues that found the walk quite taxing. Other than that it was a lovely place to stay.
