The room is large and was clean. The bed linens were very worn and the coverlet would disintegrate when touched. The shower only had warm water at night, but was hot in the morning. After a long day exploring the city not having a hot shower was disappointing. Our first night the room was quiet, the second noisy trucks were passing by. Maybe it was trash day...

We fell in love with this charming hotel and the lovely staff that worked there! They made every effort to make us comfortable and welcomed. The location is amazing. Yes there were light bulbs out and the air conditioning was broken but we survived it and slept with the windows open, laughing at the early morning noise. The charm of the hotel won us over completely. You do need to know to park at the Palais des Papes parking lot and travel light as you have to drag your luggage across the cobble stones. There is a classic old European elevator. Travel light. The servers at the restaurant downstairs, however, were rude. Everyone else was delightful! I’d go back again!

Cette nuitée a été réservée il y a plusieurs mois pour une chambre de luxe confort et entre temps l’administration de l’hôtel a changé, j’ai donc été mise dans une chambre standard. On m’a indiqué que pour une raison de coût ils ont dû réévaluer les types de chambre. J’ai dû argumenter un peu et montrer les photos de ce que j’avais réservé et puisque c’était une seule nuit, ils m’ont gentiment installé dans la chambre choisis à l’origine. Staff très cordiale et avenant. Il y a un restaurant à l’hôtel et est super bien situé au centre de tout.

Enjoyed our stay. We rented two rooms One was newly remodeled Ours was older but freshly done up with beamed ceilings. So fun to be in a quaint historic building above a restaurant. Parking was easy and elevator delivered us in front of Palais des Papes a short walk to our hotel .

The hotel is at the heart of Avignon, couldn't be better situated. It's a beautiful building in sand stone and has this Middle Ages and Gothic feel. Staff was very friendly, the cuisine was ok. The food was good and tasty, the menu I found a bit boring. The hotel lacks maintenance however. The lift didn't work, no batteries in the remote, no light in the gangway, there was AC but a very noisy mobile model. There is no bar, and no vending machine either. At 22h, everything is closed in Avignon. Everything was clean though, the water in the shower warm and the internet good. All in all, I had a good stay.

Good position, but we had a small back room onto a back yard with erratic lighting and broken louvre into the bathroom. Eccentric breakfast arrangements. NO WARNING that access was restricted by a market, so that it took nearly half an hour to unload, one of us hovering illegally, the other wheeling cases. WORST OF ALL: we asked for a taxi for next morning, which wasn't ordered. The attempt by the office to book another failed repeatedly and we had to walk half a mile to another station to get to the TGV station we wanted a taxi to. We only just made it.

Amazing to be directly acros from the Palais des Papes with the view from our window onto the Place d’Horloge in such a charming historic building. Just getting to and from the parking is a tiny bit challenging, but given the location, the history and the age it is very well organized.

1. Deficiencias Críticas de Mantenimiento Humedad y Sanidad: Presencia inaceptable de hongos/moho en las paredes (parte baja de las ventanas), señalando problemas serios de humedad estructural. Aislamiento y Seguridad: Ventanas y contraventanas que no cerraban/ajustaban correctamente. El picaporte de la puerta principal estaba estropeado con tornillos sueltos. Funcionalidad del Baño: La ducha es prácticamente inutilizable, ya que el agua se sale del plato, inundando el baño cada vez. Comodidad: El armario proporcionado era insuficientemente pequeño, incapaz de alojar el contenido de una maleta básica. 2. Higiene y Servicio (Por debajo del Estándar) Ropa de Baño: Las toallas eran visiblemente viejas, descosidas y presentaban manchas permanentes, algo inadmisible para un hotel de 3 estrellas. Limpieza y Gestión de Servicios: Se detectó una falta de higiene general. Las toallas no fueron cambiadas durante la estancia y, de hecho, el personal retiró una toalla de mano sin reponerla. 3. Problema de Olores Ventilación Comunal: Debido a que la cocina daba directamente al recibidor central y la escalera, un fuerte y desagradable olor a comida impregnaba las áreas comunes del edificio. Conclusión: Las múltiples deficiencias en higiene, mantenimiento y seguridad (moho, toallas gastadas, puerta defectuosa) no se corresponden con lo que se espera de un hotel de 3 estrellas. La calidad ofrecida está muy por debajo de su clasificación oficial.
