We stayed here to celebrate a special birthday with friends. While the place was charming and eclectic we had no idea there was not an elevator ONLY STAIRS , no way to get your luggage to the 2nd or 3rd floor except to drag it up the stairs. That was rough as our ages range from late 50's-early 70's. While our room was a bit more eclectic than I prefer, the ocean views were amazing from our balcony. The tv's were a bit more of a challenge than they need to be in 2025 but I didn’t come to watch tv. The staff was very kind and friendly. The breakfast provided was 100% my favorite thing next to the view. They have a actual barista making delicious specialty coffees and the warm bake goods come from a local bakery. We enjoyed the morning coffees on the rooftop deck. Kudos to the gentlemen and young lady serving coffee and pastries.

A great place to stay!

The free pie and ice cream in the evening was great. Breakfast was delicious and the view was great. Our son, Matt Cross, frequently entertains at Avila venues and its fun to walk down the street to hear him play!

Beautiful ocean view and staff was very accommodating. No elevators so be prepared to walk the stairs but well worth the climb if you’re not physically limited.

Stayed in June 2025. Great location in Avila Beach—you can hear the surf from your room, and we weren’t even in an oceanfront room. Bicycles to borrow, and breakfast is included. A small menu, but quality! They do lattes and mochas that are top notch, and eggs and pastries. In the evening, they have pie and ice cream available. This hotel is a great value in a cute little beach town.

Very pleasant stay.

The place was very nice. We enjoyed our room and how easy it was to access everything along the beach front. We liked that they offered beach supplies to use and bicycles as well! We plan to return and get an ocean view next time.

Love the Inn!!

We love to come back here! The hotel is quite quaint and I love the uniqueness of it. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast on the rooftop coffee shop is to die for! We love this place and will continue to return time after time again.

This is a quirky little hotel right on the beach. We LOVED our stay. The staff was SO friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is old and quirky, but it is clean and inviting. The amenities are fabulous! There are beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, bikes, snacks, and the MOST amazing coffee and croissants in the morning on the rooftop deck. To top it all off, warm pie and ice cream every night were a fantastic way to end the day. Hats off to the cleaning crew- so friendly
