Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy
From arrival, we were faced with contractors carrying out decking repairs, with drilling and construction noise continuing for several days. Contractors frequently arrived later than agreed and without notice. We also experienced repeated unannounced visits from pest control, pool maintenance, gardeners and management, meaning someone entered the property almost every day. This seriously affected the privacy we had paid for, with maintenance staff even arriving while members of our group were sunbathing topless. There were also several maintenance and safety issues, including a broken upstairs patio door, a faulty bathroom lock which temporarily trapped one of us inside, no functioning bathroom ventilation, and a downstairs bathroom door with no working lock.The most unpleasant issue was the cockroach infestation. We found nine cockroaches inside the villa during our stay and had to purchase our own spray. The initial response from management was disappointing, despite it being clear the problem had not been resolved.The entrance gate also did not close securely, raising concerns about privacy and security.We later contacted management regarding compensation. The only offer was a 15% voucher towards a future stay. Given our experience, we would not be keen to return, so this is of little value. A 15% reimbursement of our actual stay would have been a much more appropriate response.
