Tracy the manager of the hotel has charged an additional £50 charge as they say we smoked in the room. Seen as we dont smoke i think this is ridiculous.

I had a wonderful stay at the Horizon Hotel in Ayr, Scotland. The staff were warm and welcoming, the rooms were comfortable and spotless, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. Breakfast was also excellent! I truly enjoyed my time there and would happily return.

Excellent stay at the hotel. I was in Ayr for a job interview. On the last night I asked the lady at reception if there was anywhere to store my case as my interview was at 0830 the next morning and it might be tight to meet the 10.30am check out. She gave me a late checkout with no charge. I really appreciated it. I ate at the hotel on the 2 nights I was there and the service was amazing, really nice atmosphere, food was served quickly and was piping hot. If I’m ever in Ayr again (I didn’t get the job!) Horizon will be where I stay!
