Convenient and good value

A lovely hotel in a great location. Check-in was very easy and the room was comfy and spacious. The only issue we had was with the breakfast, which was not particularly nice, quite oily and tasteless. Other than that can highly recommend Auberge Gisele's Inn!

The whole area is very conveniently located near downtown near Alexander Graham Bell Museum, and gas station and Jim Hortons. The minute we laid eyes on it, we couldn’t be more excited especially when our room actually has a view for the lake. We didn’t offer for breakfast amuse at the hotel so we can’t comment on the food. We ate lobster rolls at the restaurant on the boardwalk and for the second night we walked across the street to the resort opposite from Gisele’s and had dinner at the Lakeside restaurant on that property

We arrived on a Sunday and a nice guy (Ali) completed the check in as well as our check out. He was informative and kind. The room was on the third floor (elevator available) and it is clean with nice linens and housekeeping everyday to make beds and change towels. The TV is very small with slow internet connection. The microwaves are outside the rooms but there is a refrigerator in the rooms as well as a coffee maker. A laundry self-service is offer $3.50 not included soap or dryer sheets. The inn is located a walking distance to the main street of the town where you can find a supermarket (coop) if you want to buy meals/ food as the restaurant can be expensive for a family (breakfast-buffet $16 dinner entrees $20 up); near to a post office, bank, nice cafes and restaurants. We had a great experience going to a fiddle piano show at the Parish Hall (walking distance from the inn). It was $20 adult & $10 12 year old and younger. We also had a chance to see the fireworks (Canada Day) from the main pier in town. A restaurant on Canada Day (Main Street)was accepting donations and giving free hamburgers/hot dogs for everybody in town. That was nice of them!! Although there are other inns and lodgings options in the same street, we recommend it.
