I love a good unique stay which is what Ulysses was but it lacked some basic accommodations.. also the parking is super weird and it's crazy that they don't offer valet parking .. I also think it's weird that your not able to control the heat and or air individually in your room

This is my fourth time staying at Ulysses and everything was excellent as usual. The staff were super friendly (the check in lady even congratulated my husband and I on our recent marriage!), the room was clean and comfortable, and I felt taken care of throughout my stay. Can’t wait to come back again!

My experience at this hotel was disappointing. I had been on the road all day driving since 5 am, and attending a funeral. The hotel’s eclectic design is as described; the room furnishings were very comfortable, and the staff were polite. However, this could not make up for a host of inconveniences. In a nutshell: 1. Parking was a disaster. No valet service. After much ado, I received complimentary parking. The front steps are steep with a heavy front door and no walk-up ramp. 2. No hot water/coffee pot in the room. 3. No phones in the room. I was later told they use Google Chat. 4. The room was freezing and the thermostat was not adjustable. 5. I could not turn off the lights in the bedroom or bathroom. 6. Staff response times can be improved. Maybe this was a 'smart'room? Some FAQs or an information packet detailing all the above would have been most helpful and might have improved my experience. I cannot recommend..

I usually stay at Ulysses when I am in Baltimore, but this time my credit card was offering a stay at a nearby hotel and, I made the terrible mistake of spending the night there and the next morning immediately vacated and went to Ulysses! The staff is always very nice and the hotel always smells divine!

Arrived late at the hotel on a cold and rainy evening, to find the room with the AC blasting at 68F. You can't control the heating because is centralized. I texted the number they gave me at the reception but there was no response or follow-up. So I had to let the room slowly heat-up (by morning it was already 72). One big advantadge is that the room is tiny. Extremely tiny. The positive side is I guess it does warm up faster as a result. My room was at the higher floor so the (warm) water pressure was very low - in case you consider warming up with a hot shower. And even after a few good minutes it was still lukewarm rather than hot - I wasn't able to get hot water. Parking was OK. Used the public parking across the street, for much cheaper rates than the valet at the hotel. The only inconvenience is extending the parking time, it seems that you can't do it online, you have to physically go back to the lot. Everything else, it was great. Also the room and the bathroom were very clean, I truly appreciate that!
