My boyfriend and I had a very nice time, we were spoiled with the view of the Forrest, and the soaking tub! We will return 100%. Only downside was the pool was closed for cleaning one of the days we were there. Other than that the staff were very friendly!

It’s not really a lodge, per se.

When looking at this property online, I see that they call it a lodge, so I expected a large building in which all the guest rooms are in the same building as a huge beautiful great room. This reception area is nice, but the guest rooms are all apartment-style in eight different small outbuildings. Being nearly winter, I wanted the idea of walking out of my room and down to the lobby for a cup of coffee. But I had to get dressed and walk across the property to get there. My room was very nice, clean, and well appointed. Parking was scarce. A couple times I had to park on the street because the parking lot was full. The staff were all very friendly. Some of the photos online, especially a huge great room with fireplaces and deer antlers, I didn’t see one of these rooms at all. Breakfast in the restaurant was decent.

Nice stay but could have been better

The room was lovely, and it was nice to have a view of the woods. I liked that the property wasn’t right in town, but within walking distance. My only complaints would be that the walls are pretty thin so you can hear a lot, and the towels were very scratchy. Honestly, they felt like sandpaper! I think a little fabric softener would go a long way.

The grounds of this property are beautiful and the rooms are nice but it is not suitable for seniors or people with limited mobility. There is way too much walking and climbing of stairs required to get to many of the rooms and to do anything. Even more challenging in bad weather. Not convenient for getting into town.

Fantastic stay at this hotel! The scenery was beautiful, staff were pleasant and we were even upgraded to an even better suite, upon arrival, without having to ask. Convenient ride to downtown Banff with the bus stop right across the street, as an added bonus. Highly recommend this accomodation to anyone that asks!

Our room was absolutely beautiful! The view, the fire place, beds - amazing! Also heated floors at the entrance is a great bonus in cold snowy days! Also it was my son’s birthday, the stuff prepared lovely sweet treats and a card! He loved it! Restaurant: great food, cozy atmosphere, friendly service! Reasonably priced! (Oleaksandr was very friendly and knowledgeable) The hot tub outdoors!! A must visit ❤️ Thank you “Buffalo Mountain Lodge” for wonderful time!
