Best hot tub view you could ever get. Quiet, clean. Attentive staff. Hotel provides free bus busses to make up for its distance from town center. Easy ride to get there.

Hotel was clean, staff was accommodating. The restaurant in hotel had amazing food for both breakfast and dinner. I highly recommend the cappuccinos! The rooftop hot pools were amazing as well.

We loved the rooftop hot tub with beautiful views! The highlight of our stay. The coffee/tea at check-in was a nice touch. Also appreciated the complimentary Roam bus passes. Only negatives: The beds were harder than our liking & the elevators run slow so we just took the stairs mostly. The stairwell was dirty for a day but noticed by the next day it had been vacuumed or swept.

Location and hot pools great Pour over coffee nice touch Rooms were horribly configured though - we had a corner room but the tv location was to the side of the bed so you could not watch it ! Needs a swivel holder in order or be moved to the main wall across. Air conditioning unit was also on the side of the bed so it only blew into the bed and never got the entire room cool Lighting in bathroom impossible to do makeup properly Minimal drawer space to unpack nor no counter space in bathroom to store anything Only provided 4 hangers in closet Bed wasn’t comfortable and sheets were stiff

Our week long stay at the Otter Hotel was perfect! Very friendly and helpful staff. Using the hot pools and sauna while looking at the mountains was amazing. Two robes provided in room to wear to the hot pools was a very nice touch. Complimentary Roam bus passes provided. Free parking garage a definite plus. Ice machine also has a water spout for filling your bottles, this was a great bonus for my family of water drinkers! Highly recommend staying here.

Great restaurant; helpful and friendly staff; clean and convenient facilities. I'd like to give it a 4.5 rating. Two things prevented me from giving Otter the full five stars. The room's primary window faced the foot of a service drive and parking garage for the neighboring hotel. It was the tidiest service drive I've seen, but the hotel could have planted a few shrubs to improve the view. The other was the hot tub area. Jets in one tub had failed, and the promised towels were not available.

We loved our stay at the Otter Hotel in Banff. Beyond being in such a magical location, the hotel itself was wonderful and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Having on-site parking was a big plus. The restaurant is absolutely to die for — do yourself a favor and have both breakfast and dinner there at least once, the food is delicious. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with a nice little kitchen area and balcony. I wouldn’t call it luxury, but it has everything you need. The showers are great, and I have to give a special mention to the amazing soap (you can even buy it at a shop in Banff if you fall in love with it like I did). Amenities like the sauna and jacuzzi were a highlight, especially with the beautiful views. They can get crowded at times, which is understandable in such a touristy spot during high season, so just be prepared. The only small thing I noticed was a few used towels and cups left around — a bit more attention to tidying up would make it even better — but it didn’t take away from my experience at all. A big shout-out to Fredy, who went out of his way to accommodate us and share great recommendations around the area. The hotel also provides bus passes and bike rental coupons, which were really handy. Overall, we had a great experience and I would definitely stay here again
