Don't hesitate to book this hotel!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel La Pau. I had read great reviews before booking and the hotel lived up to them. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions for dining and exploring the area. The rooms are clean and well designed. The beds are extremely comfortable. The location is great for exploring the Gothic Quarter and beyond. We would highly recommend Hotel La Pau Barcelona!

Do yourself a favour

Our stay was perfect in every way. Super comfortable bed, quiet spacious room and the best bit was the attention of the staff. Not too intrusive with useful advice of where and where not to go. If you can afford it this hotel will not disappoint. Placed close to all attractions and metro.

Perfect Stay

Excellent stay. Very well looked after by all staff members. They went above and beyond, especially Eddie who ran down the street to get us taxis a few times. Great hotel, great location and service was amazing. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

What a WONDERFUL experience staying at La Pau. From the warm greeting at the door, to our goodbye, the staff was so friendly and helpful. Their breakfast is a delight and Eddie made it especially great with his up-beat and good natured service to us. The room was just lovely, with lush architectural details - we felt we were in our own private castle. I am already dreaming of getting back here and wish that all my friends would go. This place is a true gem.

Perfect stay

Came in to a very warm welcome and was able to check in early for a small fee. All The staff was amazing, so helpful, and kind. The room was beautiful, clean and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. The area is very walkable and location is great. Hope to return someday!

If I could give this hotel more than 5 stars, I would. We stayed here 4 nights in our journey through Spain and Barcelona. Highlights: 1. Service: Impressive . Staff goes out of their way all around hotel to make you feel welcome and make sure you have everything you need. They welcomed us with choice of drink (we asked for coffee), gave many great recommendations, provided umbrellas and were helpful throughout the stay. 2. Comfort: We travel a lot and stay in many hotels. This was one of the most comfortable beds in many stays. Great pillows, blankets. A/C was fantastic. No outside noise in the room, you can completely black out with curtains, amazing shower with good pressure, very nice large towels, shampoos and soaps smelled amazing and very very clean. 3. Location: 3 mins walking to metro station. 2 parking garages within 1 min. 1 literally next to hotel. We had no problem parking a car. You may not want to drive in Barcelona in general. We took taxi or Metro everywhere, but since we were going between cities we had a car. Was nice not to worry about safe and convenient parking. 4. Stuff around: Walking distqnce to Montjuic Park and Castle, Gothic Quarters, Cathedral of Barcelona, Beach, La Ramba and many many good food options. Easy to catch taxi from Hotel (walk 30 seconds to Main Street). Very happy with experience all around!

Hotel La Pau was a perfect location for 4 days in Barcelona. We will be back! The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The location is perfect for exploring the Gothic Quarter, the waterfront and the Rambla. We walked everywhere but it is also a 2 minute walk to the Metro. The staff was exceptional - kind, helpful and knowledgeable. A fantastic boutique hotel!

Tremendous. No need to look elsewhere.

I happened upon Hotel La Pau as I had extended my stay in Barcelona but had to switch hotels. What an unbelievable surprise it was. I am an absolute stickler for customer service and the pride and care La Pau took in their customer service was evident as soon as I stepped through the doors. They knew my name, took my bags so I could set them down, were able to get me into my room early, etc. It only got better from there as they had a prepared list of sites and restaurants complete with my name on it. I was then escorted to my room, which was IMO rather remarkable for a European hotel room. It was spacious, well designed, the AC worked, everything was pristine. Don’t even get me started on the shower. Best shower ever. But it didn’t end there. I was greeted by every employee warmly every time I entered and left the hotel. Most greeted me by name. They helped me to find other locations, such as a sports bar to watch the Champions League games and more. I have stayed at many places in Barcelona over a number of years and Hotel La Pau blew them all away. They’ll be the first place I look at from now on.
