Suppose to be 5 Stars !!

In short all I can say is avoid this hotel.. Room was dirty, mould all over the shower and ventilation vents, AC would not go below 27 degrees in 34 degree summer weather and the hotel staff did not care even after complaining 3 times .. See pictures for yourselves..

El hotel es excelente en instalaciones, comida, habitaciones, etc. El servicio deja mucho que desear para un hotel de este estilo. Estuve dos noches con ruido en el aire acondicionado, algo impensable en un Hyatt, y no fue posible una solución. Llamar a la recepción es un drama, no contesta nadie. Tuve que bajar en piyama a la 1 de la mañana a ver si alguien escuchaba mi queja. Mandaron un técnico la primera noche que me dio arregló el ruido, pero volvió a la segunda noche y cuando volví a quejarme (de nuevo bajando porque no contestan), ya no tenían servicio técnico. Absurdo.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for our first experience in Spain and Barcelona. As it was rated five stars, we had high expectations; however, we believe it should only be rated four stars, maybe even 3.5 at most. On the positive side, the staff provided excellent hospitality and gave us great recommendations for exploring the city. The breakfast was quite good. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was not functioning properly in any of the rooms. Even after being moved to a different room, the AC still didn’t work adequately. Given the temperature exceeding 90°F in Barcelona, this was less than ideal for a five-star hotel. While the rooms were clean, they felt a bit outdated.

I recently stayed at Hyatt Regency Barcelona with two other friends. For two of us, it was our first time in the city. The hotel is about a 40-minute drive from the main town, which we were aware of beforehand, so the distance wasn’t a surprise. Check-in was smooth, and we received a warm welcome. A staff member (Ahmed, I believe) kindly helped us with our luggage. We were also offered a welcome drink, although it took around 10 minutes to arrive. One of my friends’ rooms had a birthday cake inside, but the staff explained it was due to a room switch, so it wasn’t a major issue. The rooms themselves were beautiful — spacious, very clean, with comfortable beds, pristine bathrooms, and a nice city view. On the downside, the lifts were confusing and felt quite outdated. The buffet breakfast seemed overpriced, so we mostly ate outside. Another disappointment was the pool: online photos made it look like a rooftop pool, but in reality, it was a much smaller pool area located downstairs. That said, the lobby was large and comfortable, which was convenient while waiting for taxis. Overall, my stay was okay — there were definitely some positives, but also areas where the experience could be improved.
