Disliked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Renters, BEWARE!Unfortunately, what was advertised by the host was not the reality of the rental. “Spacious eight bedroom house” is actually two houses, 5 minutes apart. If our group had known this information, we would have chosen a different property. Our expectations of being together in one house was spoiled by the false advertisement listed on VRBO. If you have several small children, you will have to decide which families will be in the updated house versus the older house. This information was never brought to our attention. We only found out about the two houses upon entering the first home and only noticing 4 bedrooms. We contacted the property manager to find out that the other house was 5 minutes down the road! The check-in information, which was a brief message, only included one door code with no information about the 2nd house. This created confusion and anger at the start of our vacation which was disappointing for our entire group. No vacation should ever start like this.This listing needs to be updated immediately so renters are aware that this is not one house, not even one house with a separate living area on it’s property. It’s two completely different houses, with different addresses. I have rented houses for over ten years, and this is the first time I am leaving a poor review. I plan to contact VRBO so they are also aware of the false advertisement.I hope this review provides insight for future renters planning to stay at this property.
