With all the windows and doors open, there was no air circulation. The ceiling is quite low and there are no windows on both sides of the house to help air circulation. The front bedroom got up to 81 when the windows were closed. The baby slept in there and she's not used to the heat. We didn't understand that we needed air conditioning. The layout of the property is awkward. It's listed as a three bedroom house, but the middle bedroom (master bedroom) on the east side has no windows and has no privacy – guest must walk through this bedroom in order to get to the bathroom with a shower; those staying in the northeast bedroom must also walk through the master bedroom in order to get to their bedroom, which has no separate door onto the common area. There are numerous small trip hazards throughout the property, some but not all were marked with a distinguishing paint, etc. Also, the couch was really the only comfortable seat in the house, and could hold only three people. More comfortable chairs, including wooden chairs, would help immensely.If you converted it to a two bedroom apartment, incorporating the middle bedroom with the sitting area, it would make more sense. Also, adding a whole house fan, or an exhaust fan, probably in the northeast bedroom, would help provide air circulation. The management service was great, the owners were quite helpful, the water was beautiful, and we had a wonderful time. It's just that the cottage itself was not comfortable for us.
