The staff were great. The location was good. The hotel is a bit shabby but adequate. However, our room had a very bad smell when we returned from dinner. We got some air freshener the next day which helped. They offered to move rooms but it was too much trouble after the air freshener worked.

La Bayeux

We had booked at hotel la Bayeux but when we arrived we were directed to hotel Normandy. It was a little confusing but we called the number and had no problems. The girl who checked us in was super kind. Our room was perfect for our family of 5. We had Breakfast there and it was nice to sit and relax for Breakfast. We wish we had planned more time here. It is a lovely town.

Lovely staff and close to main attraction (3 mins walk). Very basic rooms and breakfast. Rooms are not sound-proof, we could hear people on the hallway. The wall heaters not working but there is aircon. The hot water went cold after 10 mins. Bed not very comfortable. Difficulty with parking, we ended up paying extra to park inside hotel compound.

Not luxury but if you need a comfortable bed, a hot shower and tasty breakfast this is an ideal base to explore Bayeux and the surrounding area. Has on site parking available for €16 per night and is only a few minutes walk from all the lovely restaurants in Bayeux. The staff are lovely also.
