We booked this room to celebrate our 3rd year wedding anniversary.The pool was cold and the jacuzzi was down! & some of the lifts were out of service. Such as shame as this was looking forward to it. When it came to dinner, I specifically asked for our desserts to have a happy anniversary message on it to surprise my wife but the waiters completely forgot and didn’t do it. Overall it was ok but the experience and service could’ve been better.

I’ve stayed here many times and can’t fault anything. Spotless, great service, lovely pool area with hot tub and steam/sauna with aerobics classes all included in your stay. The restaurant 1269 serves lovely food and breakfast is good. There’s nothing directly outside hotel or within walking distance but a short drive will take you into Gerrards Cross and Beaconsfield if you want more restaurants. I’ll be back again 😊

Unfortunately our room has not been cleaned properly which I didn’t notice until we after we had been out and come back and by which time it was really late. The room smelt awful and someone’s empty water bottle had been left under the bedside table. We were woken on Monday morning by workmen using power tools in the corridor and room next to ours at 8am then the gardner decided to join in with a leaf blower outside the window at 8.30 in the morning it would be good to remember not all guests are corporate and up and out at the crack of dawn some people like a lie in!

Despite requesting a view, room overlooked flat roof. The bed was too hard, pillows like rocks. No appointments available at Spa. 3 restaurant staff members quizzed me if I had paid my food bill. I travel extensively, visiting The Crowne Plaza because of the website views.

Amazing spa experience

We loved the Waves spa. Most hotel spas seem to be made as an afterthought, but the spa here was spacious, great treatments on offer and the relaxation room is a nice touch to allow you to really stay in that relaxation mood a little while longer opposed to just being kicked out into the bright lights and noise.

I was not made aware of extensive works happening and put in a room next to the building site. Staff were very friendly and helpful moving me to a quieter room to work. Reception took a full paymet on arrival despite teh fact I had already paid online so I am awaiting the release of teh pre-authorisation; almost £400! First evening there was no chicken available on teh menu and when I asked I was told it wasnt popular so they were removing it from menu when they got new printed. Ordered an alternative of meatballs which quite frankly were just balls of mush liek babyfood. It was so bad I had a sandwich the following day but even that was not as the menu said, with egg mayo instead of standard mayonaise as stated; that being said it was a good sandwich. In the evening I ordered just sticky toffe pudding but Tiramisu arrived, when pudding came as ordered it didnt have the ice cream. All in all the food was dreadful of an evening which let down the whole stay when you are there working and not being a driver to remote to walk out for dinner. I wouldnt stay again.
