I found the HoneyComb disappointing, although the host was very responsive and the location was convenient to the downtown area. "Neglected" best describes the exterior of the home. After I booked, I messaged the host about parking as there were no pictures of the driveway or the backyard. The host responded quickly and added a picture to the listing showing a long, freshly graveled driveway with a well-manicured brick sidewalk to the house. That's not what we found when we arrived. The brick sidewalk was barely visible due to the weeds. The owner did warn us that they were participating in "No Mow May." The program doesn't preclude weeding walkways; seems important at a rental property. The downspout for the front porch rain gutter was laying in the grass. The paint on the porch floor was peeling down to the bare wood in places. The only piece of furniture was one dirty, broken, plastic Adirondack chair. The siding was also filthy. All this combined with the loud traffic due to the property's proximity to one of the busiest intersections in Beaufort made the front porch undesirable. The back yard was no better; two more dirty Adirondack chairs on a "deck" that really wasn't a deck but a platform without railings. Random piles of bricks and cinder blocks, rodent traps and a neglected outbuilding made it no more inviting than the front. The inside of the house has uneven floors requiring a step down into the kitchen and a step up into the bathroom; something worth mentioning.
