I called this hotel in advance of making my reservation because they allow dogs. I was informed by phone that they do thorough cleaning. At checkout, I inquired again about the thoroughness of cleaning and I was informed. Yes rooms are thoroughly cleaned. We went to our room and unpacked and went to use the bathroom. The toilet appear to have not been cleaned in a very long time. It had pee stains on top and under the lid and on the floor it was absolutely very disgusting. I went to the front desk to bring this thorough cleaning list that they lacked to their attention. The front desk receptionist put on gloves and cleaned. We then felt that the floor had salt or sand granular pieces in walking around and sure enough the floor had not been swept or mopped. It was very obvious that the floor needed attention as well. Very disappointing!

This is really the very best hotel option in the North country. Most if not all (and I’ve stayed in all of them from Lancaster to Colebrook) fall into old school motels. The facility is less than ten years old sand had the feel of a Hampton Inn, ie kitchenette, modern beds and lighting with mini living rooms. The breakfast even has a yogurt machine. Couldn’t recommend it enough especially at the price point vs the competitors.
